We stopped here after driving all day from Billings, Montana. We are SO glad we did. First off, the sign said "Family Restaurant." We have 5 little kids. They are definitely a family restaurant. The server was very nice and brought a huge box of toys over to the table. She let each of our kids pick a toy from the box. The portions were very good size. We had pancakes, eggs, bacon, chicken fried steaks, and a few other things. Everything was delicious. The pancakes were huge. We loved how they served their beverages (we got water) in 320z. wide mouth Mason jars. Great decor as well. If this restaurant was here in Colorado, it would be our go-to place to eat. Highly recommended!

The server needs a new job, she hated working here, maybe it was because of the 75 th bike rally, I don't know. Very slow and did not give a shit. The breakfast was OK. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. I was really hoping for more from this place.

Found this first on christmas last year because we didn't want to cook. I couldn't find anywhere that was open! Finally I called here and the lady seemed confused by my asking-- "yes we're open 24 hours" "even in christmas?" "365 ma'am" So it's certainly good for that. It is typical diner fare. I enjoyed my breakfast though. I've only been during breakfast hours so cannot comment about lunch or dinner. I've since gone back for other holidays too and had their buffet-- not the best, the breakfast buffet was dry. They have a great selection of pies and cinnamon rolls available though. I like taking a caramel roll home for later! If you want a LARGE drink their mason jar large size is insanity. The smaller mason jar is about average. Basically you're not coming here for first class food but for convenience and a friendly environment. Enjoy it.

Went here for breakfast today. We had the belly buster, eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. Everything was great and portions a good size. Nice gas and oil theme for decorations along with license plates from South Dakota.Would go again for breakfast or lunch.

Stopped in for a burger and was not disappointed. Friendly atmosphere and courteous service. Thank you!

A small chain where we stopped for breakfast on our trip through South Dakota. Fantastic omelets, decent pancakes, and attentive service were definitely worth the journey off the IHOP-beaten path. Excellent prices as well. It also appeared that there was a lunch and/or dinner buffet as well.

Soo happy I ran into this place. I've got to say for basically a "truck stop" restaurant, this place is awesome. For one, it's 24/7 and it's 24/7 awesome service and food for the most part. Another great thing about this place is it's cheap price. How can you beat that!? The food is really good too with some good food choices. Overall: When your stopping by or hungry in the middle of the night, stop by here and grab a bite to eat. You won't regret it.

What a relief to find a truck stop without a Denny's or a Country Pride. Yuck. Although not technically located IN the Pilot, it is in the same parking lot. First of all, I loved the decor. They use old gas station signs and license plates to give the place some oomph! We ordered the fried pickles with ranch as our appetizer and I was so pleasantly pleased with how they turned out. Perfectly crispy and not too salty. They also had just the right amount of breading. We both ordered breakfast with me ordering the steak and eggs. I ordered it medium rare and that is exactly what I got. My husband had the corned beef hash and his exact words were "it was pretty good". Crispy bacon, delicious biscuits and gravy and eggs cooked just the way we wanted. I also really enjoyed how they used mason jars for the drinks. It is a pain in the petunias to need a refill every five minutes. Nice dessert rack with all kinds of pies (cherry, apple, Snickers, lemon, cheesecake, chocolate mint, etc) and a nice selection of cookies, ice cream and a humongous brownie blast! Now the reason I took away two stars? The service. We had to practically beg for refills, to order, our check, to-go boxes and then finally, our desserts. Our waitress was very polite but it didn't make up for the lack of service completely. I will probably be back and will order take out this time, so I don't spend 2 hours waiting to be waited on!

Great place for breakfast. And very friendly staff. Good deal for the money. You will not leave hungry

This is at a truck stop but definitely not a truck stop diner. Think of it as a Mercedes, BMW and Rolls type truck stop diner. I recommend the ribs. SECOND visit. Amazing what a waitress can do for a rating. We ordered two lunch meals and the waitress managed to make four mistakes on the order, forgetting to bring the salad to start. The sad part was it was 2 PM and we were about the only customers. This second visit was a real let down after the first visit so I take off two stars just for poor service.

We went for breakfast and I had the chicken fried steak meal. I thought it was pretty good. The chicken fried steak was good, the scrambled eggs were done perfectly, hash browns good also. The waitress was great as well. My wife had the bacon and eggs. The bacon was done the way she requested. The eggs were fine. But she thought the hash browns were lacking in flavor. Overall we were pleased.

Good food, great atmosphere!! Spicy chicken bacon melt was an interesting combination but very tasty. Breakfast skillets always good and love the Reuben sandwich. Breakfast all day and wifi.

Good food. Pretty extensive menu including a large selection of desserts as well. Also has a bar area with lots of Tvs which is great for watching sports. Service is usually pretty good too.

We ate here two days in a row. First day was about 1pm and we had an exceptional waitress...attentive and friendly, kept our drinks full, checked on us, served us quickly. Food was excellent. Second day was lunch crowd and we had a horrible waitress...not very friendly, seemed put out, had to ask for drink refills and never offered refills to anyone else at our table, the salad sat up on the counter forever it seemed and was given to us only minutes before our meal came out so our hot food had to wait a bit while we finished our salads, and she only gave us one steak knife while there were two having ribs that needed to be cut, one having steak, and one having the medallions. Food was great again though. First time in awhile that we only tipped the waitress ten percent. This place could use a bit more consistency in their service.

Marlin's Roadhouse is just what it sounds. It's a diner just off of I-90 and I wanted something like a greasy spoon that wasn't a chain. So I pulled into Marlin's and was stoked on the atmosphere, except for the fact that there were TV's placed in various spots throughout the diner. It's a bit of a bummer, but I've resigned myself to the fact that it's going to be the case pretty much everywhere you go. I got the steak and mushroom omelette with a side of hashbrowns and rye toast, and it was much better than I expected. The staff was really friendly and the food arrived promptly and fresh. I like my hashbrowns with chopped onions and they were more than happy to accommodate. If ever I'm passing through Rapid City again, I'll definitely stop in at Marlin's.

It's greasy diner food as it should be. Friendly service, large portions and reasonably priced. Real good breakfast all day. Nothing to complain about but nothing to write home about. If you want something that's not a chain, it's a good stop in the area. And don't be thrown off by the sign that says it's the windmill, it's marlin's on the inside, they just don't have a sign apparently.
